Weekend Recap

Can you believe it’s the end of September? This year is coming to an end quickly! We’ve been busy, as usual. Here’s what we’ve been up to…..

Friday was the big rivalry game between our Cardinals and the Pirates. We took the kids to the pep rally and they had a good time. Before the game started the girls cheered. (This summer they attended a cheer camp with the high school cheerleaders and they got to do their cheers from camp before this game.) The boys are Bleacher Creatures and got to run out on the field before the football boys took the field. Everyone did great, except Gracie, she was too scared to get on the field so she sat in the stands with family. (Gracie is so scared of mascots, of any kind. She doesn’t like the Easter Bunny, the Chick-fil-A Cow, or our school mascot. 😒 It’s sad how scared she is; I sure hope she grows out of this fear very soon.) We enjoyed the game and our boys won!!!! Go Cardinals!!🏈
There was a young man from the other team that was badly hurt during the game Friday night and is in need of lots of prayers. I don’t know any specifics so I will not go into any details; God know so just pray.πŸ™πŸ»

Here are some videos and pictures of the kids doing their pre-game activities.

Saturday I didn’t get much accomplished, but it was nice to have some down time and not be so rushed and busy for once. The kids enjoyed time with Grandma and Meme. The girls went to watch Gavin play his first soccer game.

Sunday was church and then we all went out to have Gavin’s birthday lunch. Unfortunately I didn’t get any pictures, but we had a great time.

Last week I devoted the whole week updating everyone on how the kids are doing now that they are 5.5 and 3.5 years old. I thought I’d add a few more things about all of them here because there are some things that all of them are doing and I didn’t want to repeat myself six times….
*Everyone is sleeping in their own beds. Brady and Brady share a full size bed and the girls all have their own twin bed. Brady and Brant sleep well together and usually sleep through the night without waking, however, they wake up early every morning. And if one boy is awake he makes sure to wake his brother up! Tessa is our best sleeper on the girls side. Rayleigh is hard to get to go to sleep but she usually sleeps through the night once she goes to sleep. Gracie is doing well sleeping through the night. Mia is pretty regular about getting up and coming to our room during the night. Some nights they all sleep all night long, but there’s still times when we’re woke up by someone.
*Brady is wearing 5T – 5/6 size clothes. The quints are wear 4T clothes.
*Brady and Brant enjoy playing together. The girls all play together. I haven’t seen a consistent pair of girls playing more than the others.
*Everyone loves school and their teachers.
*All of them love to go visiting with their family. Any chance they get, they leave. We have a bunch of kids on the go! I’m so thankful to have such a wonderful and supportive family who love to spend time with my kids. We are so blessed.
*They all love gymnastics and are always asking if its time to go flip.
*They all love going to church.

Life with six kids is so hard sometimes. It’s physically, mentally, finically, and emotionally draining. I can’t even describe how tired I am all the time. However, they are such a blessing. I can’t imagine my life without all six of them. Yes, they are all a handful at times, but I wouldn’t change this wild life of mine for anything. They have grown up so much and it’s crazy how fast time is going. To think I’ve been a mom for 5 1/2 years is unbelievable. I still remember when Brady was a tiny little guy, now he’s in kindergarten. And to think my babies are 3.5 years old is a little sad. They are not babies anymore; every day they are growing and changing more and more. I love watching all six of them grow up individually and together. We have such an unique family and it’s fun to watch the dynamics of life with 1 + quintuplets.

Be blessed,
Michelle
