Y'all we have had a weekend full of fun Christmas activities. We have been going fast and furious all weekend long, but it was worth it, we've made lots of great memories.
Friday night we took the kids to see Santa at the mall. I'm not going to show you the pictures yet, I'm saving them a few days, but I promise you, for those of you who have followed us for a while and know us well, you are going to be surprised!
After we visited Santa, we ate, then we joined up with my dad, stepmom, sister, and nephew to go through a local drive through nativity scene. We did it last year and loved it. This year the kids really enjoyed everything. We let them out of their seats while we drove through "Bethlehem", they were mesmerized. It is important to us that our kids truly understand what the true meaning of Christmas is all about. Jesus is the reason for the season!🌟
Saturday morning we hung out at the house. That evening we loaded up and headed to Marshall, TX to see the Wonderland of Lights. Downtown Marshall has lots of fun activities for kids and the courthouse is covered with beautiful Christmas lights. We rode the Christmas train, the kids jumped in the Frosty bounce house, we built toy trains, decorated cookies, and talked with Santa! Oh, and I almost forgot the best part….we enjoyed a cup of the World's Best Hot Chocolate. We had so much fun with our friends Janna, Heather, and Tom (aka Mccall).
The kids looked super cute for church Sunday.
After church we decorated gingerbread houses. I found a box with 5 small gingerbread houses, which was perfect for the quints, and I bought a big gingerbread house for Brady. It worked out that every kid had their own house to decorate and we have the cutest gingerbread village you have ever seen!
So, it's been a busy weekend but one that we will remember forever. I love making memories with the kids. I hope they will always look forward to fun adventures as a family.
