February Art Work

This year I am doing individual hand/foot print pictures for each month of the year. Last month we did snowmen/snowprincesses. This month we did Love Bugs. Y’all, these Love Bugs are a piece of work. Seriously the most unique hand/foot print art we’ve done to date. When we first started doing them, I thought they were the ugliest things I’d ever seen, but now, I think they’re pretty hilarious and so much fun. Every time I look at our Love Bugs, I have to chuckle a little. 🙂

Valentine’s Recap

Last Tuesday was a whirl wind of a day. Non-stop from the time we woke up to the time we went to bed. The kids all had fun at their Valentine’s parties. We missed Steven since he was out of town for work, but overall, it was a great day.

Here are a few pictures from Mia, Tessa, Brant, Gracie, and Rayleigh’s Valentine’s Party.

Here’s a few pictures from Brady’s party.

Our Valentine goodies that the kids gave to their classmates. Ms. Sandi always does such a good job on our holiday cookies.

Of course we had to give them to all our wonderful teachers.

The kids always give their teachers flowers on Valentine’s Day. I bought some and made the bouquet myself.

And here’s what we came home with…..a mountain of candy!!! Everything times FIVE!!! (This is only the quint’s pile of goodies…thankfully Brady didn’t get too much more.)

Things I Love: Day 14

First off, Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope your day is filled with lots of love and laughter.

Well I did it! We are now at my #1 (earthly) thing I love….and of course it’s no surprise that it’s my sweetie. Steven is seriously the best guy in the whole wide world. He’s a great friend, hubby, and father, but the thing I love most about him is that he’s a Godly man. He’s one of those guys that can do a little bit of everything. He is so helpful with the kids and they absolutely adore him. He takes such good care of all of us. He works hard to provide for a big family. He’s just amazing.

So without getting carried away because I could seriously go on and on and on about how great he is, I thought I’d do a fun Get to Know Us game. I’ve been seeing people post these questions and answers about their spouse, so I thought it would be fun to do the same.

  1. Who’s the oldest? Me
  2. Who was interested first? Him
  3. Same high school? Yes
  4. Most sensitive? Me
  5. Worst temper? Me
  6. Most social? Him
  7. Hardest working? Him
  8. Most stubborn? Me
  9. Most sarcastic? Him
  10. Causes the most mess? Me
  11. Wakes up first? Him
  12. Biggest family? Me
  13. Who cooks the most? Him
  14. Who cries more? Me
  15. Best singer? Him
  16. Hogs the remote? Me
  17. Best driver? Me
  18. Better cook? Him
  19. Spends the most money? Me
  20. Smartest? Probably about the same
  21. Common sense? Probably about the same
  22. How long have you been together? 12 years (married for 10)

Be blessed,

Michelle

Things I Love: Day 1

So, I’m going to do a blog series of things that I love. I’ll post one a day until Valentine’s Day. So here we go….

Day #1: I love being outside. I’m so thankful I live in the south where it’s warm most of the year. This week we have had some beautiful, spring-like, weather. It’s been in the high 70’s with a light breeze. The kids have been able to go outside in t-shirts and shorts to play. I’ve even left the door open several days to let the house air out. Being outside on a beautiful day is so peaceful and relaxing. It really does my body and mind a lot of good. The kids have loved it too…just take a look.

Be blessed,

Michelle
