Yesterday the kids all had their Easter parties at school. Thankfully, the quint’s party started a little before Brady’s so I was able to see most of both parties. It helped that Steven took off and came to the parties as well. The kids had fun hunting eggs. The girls really didn’t understand the concept of finding more than one egg. A good time was had by all.
First up…the quint’s party.
I love decorating for the holidays, all of them. We’ve had our Easter decorations up for a while now. I love Easter. Hunting eggs has always been fun, even as an adult, and I have so many fond memories of hunting Easter eggs with all my cousins when I was little. Some of my most favorite memories are from Easter. Of course, I want to make this holiday very special for my own kiddos so I try to put out a few decorations. We will dye eggs this weekend and of course have an egg hunt on Sunday.
First I’ll take you on a little journey down memory lane. Here’s our Easter Bunny pictures from when Brady was a few days old to now. I don’t have a Bunny picture from 2014 because the quints were in the NICU and I never had a chance to take Brady.
Here’s our decorations around the house.
Our newest footprint art.
And I cannot end this post without saying this, Easter is not about bunnies and Easter is not about eggs or egg hunts. Yes, I love bunnies, eggs, and having fun but it is so important to me that my kids understand the true meaning of Easter. Easter is about Jesus and what He did for us. He lived the perfect life, He died on the cross for our sins, and He rose on the third day.
But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. Matt 28: 5-6
I pray you have a blessed weekend with your loved ones.
