Rayleigh & Mama Morning Date

Yesterday Rayleigh had a dermatologist appointment so we made a date morning out of it. My aunt Marty came over to watch the other 5 so I didn’t have to drag them all to the appointment. Thursdays are pancake days at the Seals house but R’s appointment was early which made herΒ miss out on her chocolate chip pancakes so after her appointment we had breakfast at Cracker Barrel. Then we headed to Target to pick up medicine/look at all the toys before heading back home. It was fun getting to spend some one-on-one time with my baby girl.

*I found Rayleigh’s dress at a consignment sale this spring.Β

Mother’s Day 2017

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day! I hope your day was full of lots of love and laughter.

My Mother’s Day weekend didn’t go as planned. Late Wednesday night, a young lady from our community passed away in an automobile accident. She was so beautiful, inside and out, and just the sweetest person ever. My heart is broken for her family. I can’t imagine their pain. During her funeral all I could think of was her mama. I can’t think of anything worse than losing one of my babies. It was so heartbreaking.

You know friends, I’ve seen lots of posts on social media about moms wishing to get a day off on Mother’s Day or a vacation that day to get away from their kids, and I can honestly say that’s the last thing I want. Tomorrow isn’t promised to me or Steven or any of my six kids. On Mother’s Day, I want to see their sweet little faces and hear their cute voices when they say “Happy Mother’s Day”. I want to feel their hugs and kisses. Moms, we must always cherish every little moment with our children. None of us know if this Mother’s Day will be our last Mother’s Day with one of our children. It’s so important for all of us to make each day count. Live life to the fullest. Enjoy every phase of their lives, the good, the bad, and even the toddler years (times 5)!!!

My Mother’s Day was very low-key. We went to church and then Steven grilled steaks for lunch. Afterwards, we all took naps, well, they sleptΒ and I blogged.

I’m so thankful for Brady, Mia, Tessa, Brant, Gracie, and Rayleigh. I’m thankful God chose me to be their mama. Being their mama is the hardest job I’ve ever had. They wear me out, they frustrate me, they drive me crazy, but I can’t imagine my life without all six of them in it! They fill my life with so much love and joy and it is a honor to be their mama.

Brady Boo

He is my rainbow baby. After three heartbreaking miscarriages I was losing hope of ever having my own baby. Thank you Lord for blessing me with this sweet little boy. I love him with all my heart. 🌈

The Quints….

They are my surprise babies. I never would have imagined I’d carry and give birth to quintuplets, but my God is able! I’m so thankful for these 5 little surprises. They make life so fun!

My greatest blessings call me Mama!

Sunday night after church we went out to eat pizza. Mia and I had fun taking selfies.

March of Dimes 2017

Another March for Babies is in the books. We have been participating in this event since the quints have been home from the NICU (2015 was our first year because they quints were in the NICU in 2014). The first year we went to Longview, TX for the actual walk, last year we were rained out, and this year we went to Shreveport, LA for the walk. In the past we have had team shirts made, but this year I took easy route and didn’t design shirts. We just have too much going on and I really didn’t want to deal with it. So Steven, the kids and I all wore our NICU Reunion shirts. Kristian and Gavin went with us so they wore one of the shirts from the past walks.

We woke up early, loaded up, and headed to Louisiana. This was the quints first trip to Louisiana. When we got to Shreveport we couldn’t find the event. So we were 30 minutes late and when we finally arrived everyone was starting the race. 😩 So we walked about.16 of a mile and called it quits when we started meeting other walkers coming back to the finish line. πŸ˜‚ It was fun though. The kids got to jump in the bounce house and climb in a fire truck.

So far we’ve raised $317!!! It’s still not too late to donate. Every little bit helps babies born too early.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us these past 3 years. Thank you to everyone who has donated. We are so blessed!

Our Wild WeekendΒ

Hey there y’all! Hope you had a fabulous weekend. I’ll start by saying, I’m one tired mama! We have been going non-stop since Thursday! But everything is just fine because….. ITS MY BIRTHDAY WEEK!!! πŸŽ‰ Whoop whoop! 😊

Thursday, Brady had a home game. I didn’t have the best seat so I didn’t take any pictures, except this one. I love how both teams got together after the game for a prayer. I’m proud of all these coaches for setting such a positive example for our kiddos.

On Friday the quints had their 3 year checkup. Everyone got a good report. I’ll do a whole blog post about the appointment in a day or two.

After the doctor appointment, we went to a local furniture store and bought all the girls new beds. So in a few weeks, all our baby beds will be replaced with big girl beds!

If you are from the east Texas area, I highly recommend Rawl’s Furniture Store. They are friendly and will take good care of you.

My nephew, Gage, went to Regionals in track. His team got 7th in their Region. We are so proud him and all the Cardinal track team.

Saturday we woke up early and headed to Shreveport, LA for the March of Dimes walk. We had a great time. Β I’ll do a separate blog post about the walk this week.

Saturday evening we celebrated my Dad’s 60th birthday at a BBQ restaurant. I was in charge of the decorating, so I used the decorations from the kids cowboy/cowgirl party last year and it didn’t cost me a penny. I’m so glad I held on to those decorations. We had a great time hanging out with our family.

Sunday we went to church (am & pm). Miss Holly Boo and Hadley came by to visit us and after evening services we went out to eat pizza for one last celebration for Papa Berney.

And today is the first day of May! 😱 I seriously can’t believe it’s already May! Tessa was pretty excited about it being Mama’s birthday week. πŸ˜‰

What’s Up Wednesday

I’m doing my first link-up today…So let’s get started.

1.) What we’re eating this week….

Steven grilled hamburgers last night and tonight we’re having baked potatoes. I’ve found that baked potatoes are about the easiest meal to prepare on church nights with very little clean up so that’s my go to on Wednesdays and Sundays now.

2.) What I’m reminiscing about…

Brady’s first Texas Rangers baseball game. It was so much fun!

3.) What I’m loving….

Warmer weather, the kids playing outside, and Brady’s tee ball games.

4.) What we’ve been up to….

Baseball games..

5.) What I’m dreading….

Cleaning out my closet, I need to switch my clothes around (bring summer clothes out and put winter clothes up).

The March of Dimes walk is this weekend. I’m excited to get to participate in it, IF the weather permits. If you haven’t already, we would appreciate you donating to our team!!

Dancing with the StarsπŸ’ƒπŸ»πŸ•ΊπŸ»

I’m working on both of these books right now.

9.) What I’m listening to….

At the moment, I’m listening to TessaΒ cry. 😩 And I’m listening to the thunder.

10.) What I’m wearing…

Workout pants and a t-shirt…I’m a mom of six, I have to be comfortable.

Preschool Easter Parties

Yesterday the kids all had their Easter parties at school. Thankfully, the quint’s party started a little before Brady’s so I was able to see most of both parties. It helped that Steven took off and came to the parties as well. The kids had fun hunting eggs. The girls really didn’t understand the concept of finding more than one egg. A good time was had by all.

First up…the quint’s party.

Be blessed,

Hello Monday!

Hey y’all! Welcome back. I hope you had a restful and relaxing weekend.

Friday we took the kids to see the Easter Bunny at the mall. In route to the mall, Brady was talking about how he wasn’t scared of the Easter Bunny, but when we got there, he started to get nervous. Gracie was having a major meltdown and was holding on to Steven for dear life. The others were a little timid, but not my tiny little Mia, she was fearless, she walked right up to that Easter Bunny and gave him a high five. Once she did that, all the others followed her lead and gave the bunny a high five, expect Gracie. I was hoping Steven and I wouldn’t have to be in the picture this year, but that didn’t happen either. This Easter picture is too funny to me. I love how it really catches our family.

Having fun with the Easter Bunny wore Mia smooth out!

Check out her smirk after she woke up.

Friday night we stayed home, Steven grilled hamburgers, we ate on the back porch at the picnic table and let the kids play. It was a nice way to end a busy week.

Saturday, I was very productive and cleaned out the girls’ closet. I packed all the winter clothes up and filled their closet with dresses, dresses, and more dresses. Oh my word! I had no idea how many dresses I’d gotten the girls for this spring/summer. Needless to say, they are set on dresses. I still have a few more totes to go through but for the most part, their closet is ready for a while.

While I cleaned the kids had fun with their grandparents.

Sunday, Steven and I were able to get away after church and go watch Beauty & the Beast. It was nice to have a quiet and relaxing afternoon with my love. ❀️

That evening, we ate dinner at Kayla & Jeremy’s.

Last night right before we put the boys to bed, I walked in on this happening. These two little boys melt my heart. πŸ’™πŸ’™

We’ve got another busy week ahead of us: class pictures, Easter party at school, and a t-ball game. I will be one exhausted mama by the time Friday rolls around, and you know what…I wouldn’t trade my life for anything in this world!!!😁
