It is official, we no longer have babies in the Seals house. Last Friday Steven took all the cribs down and we gave them away. They were replaced with 4 twin beds for each of our little sweethearts. Gracie and Mia share a room and Rayleigh and Tessa share a room. (Brady and Brant share a room.)
Here’s a look at the beds. Once I have the rooms decorated I’ll take you on a tour. 😉
So far, the girls have done great sleeping in their new beds. I was concerned it would be a difficult transition but they have surprised me, in a good way. 😀
Once again, we had a fun-filled weekend with lots of birthday celebrations. Other than March (which is Brady, Mia, Tessa, Brant, Gracie, and Rayleigh’s birthday month) May is our other busy birthday month. This weekend we celebrated Kayla’s birthday. Brady attended Coby’s birthday party on Saturday too so we have been in the celebrating mood all month long!
We went out for pizza for Kayla’s birthday. 🍕
Sunday was church and I attended a wedding. After evening services we all went out to celebrate Kayla one more time.
This week kicks off The Seals Summer Theme Weeks! Tom and I sat down and planned out 13 weeks of fun for the Six Sweet Seals. I am hoping the kids will enjoy all our activities and have a fun-fill summer. This week is Kids in the Kitchen Week. I will post about our weekly adventures every Monday this summer so stay tuned. The first Summer Theme Week post will be next Monday!
So this year I’m starting a new series of posts titled, Did You Know. This is my way to letting you know a little more about our family besides the day-to-day events. So here we go….
Did you know…..that Brady is only 2 years and 3 days older than the quints? His birthday is on March 15 and they were born on March 18. While I was pregnant with the quints and getting closer and closer to his birthday I prayed so hard that they wouldn’t be born on his birthday. I knew they were going to get a lot of attention, just because they were quintuplets, I didn’t want them to steal his birthday too. Thankfully I was able to stay pregnant 3 more days before they made their big debut.
When the quints first came home, Brady really didn’t know what to think about his new role as big brother. I can’t even imagine what it must have been like to become the older sibling to quintuplets. There were times, at the beginning, when he’d tell us to take them back to the hospital. Poor guy…he just wanted his normal quiet life back, but over time he’s grown to appreciate all his siblings. At the ages of 4 and 2 they now play so good together. He and Brant share a room and bed now, so that has really brought them together. It melts my heart to see him being such a amazing big brother to Mia, Tessa, Brant, Gracie, and Rayleigh. Of course they fight and he doesn’t like them touching his toys, but overall, they get along so well. The quints are so blessed to have Brady as their big brother.
Yesterday, Brady made sure the quints got a kiss before nap time. He is so loving.
